Favourite photos: Happy Thanksgiving, American friends!

Thanksgiving* is a decidedly American holiday which bleeds over to Canada by virtue of our shared landmass and television airwaves. We also get to enjoy the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. From the comfort of our workplaces.

I was in NYC the week before Thanksgiving a few years back, and was totally charmed by their approach to parking control before the parade. A sign with a turkey on it, taped to a tree. Happy Thanksgiving, American friends!

NYC Thanksgiving Parade

*Normally, I’d call this American Thanksgiving to differentiate it from our Canadian Thanksgiving in October, but I’m giving it a pass today.

  1. I’ve always enjoyed the scope of the American holiday. Seems so much more festive than our own, little one day in October. Happy Thanksgiving America! 🙂
